Communication and Graphic Arts major at San Carlos Academy, later he studied at Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (1974-1978). From 78 until 79, Castro Leñero spent time at the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna, Itlay. He used to be a professor of visual experimentation at ENAP. His resumé includes works in Canada, the United States and expositions in France, UK, Germany, Italy, and Mexico.
