The Color of Dreams brings together Rodolfo Morales, Chucho Reyes, and Enrique Flores in an exploration of Mexican identity through color, memory, and imagination, where everyday life is transformed into poetic and timeless visual narratives.
G2 Gallery presents The Color of Dreams Guadalajara, Mexico — G2 Gallery is pleased to present The Color of Dreams, an exhibition bringing together the work of Rodolfo Morales, Chucho Reyes, and Enrique Flores, three artists whose practices reinterpret Mexican popular culture through distinct yet deeply connected visual languages. Rather than depicting reality literally, each artist transforms familiar subjects into evocative worlds shaped by memory, imagination, and color. Markets, villages, roosters, gardens, and rural landscapes become spaces where everyday life merges with myth, symbolism, and dreamlike atmospheres. The exhibition traces a dialogue across generations. Chucho Reyes elevates popular aesthetics through his vibrant works on papel de china; Rodolfo Morales reimagines the people and architecture of Oaxaca with lyrical compositions suspended between reality and fantasy; and Enrique Flores captures the rhythms of rural life through expressive printmaking rooted in the traditions of Huitzo. Together, their works reveal how color functions not only as a formal element but also as a vehicle for cultural memory, emotion, and storytelling. The Color of Dreams invites viewers to reconsider the richness of Mexican visual traditions and their continued relevance within contemporary art. The exhibition is presented by G2 Gallery in Guadalajara and is accompanied by an online Viewing Room on Artsy, offering collectors and audiences worldwide the opportunity to explore the exhibition and acquire selected works.
